Young artist Lisa Kirkpatrick has a love of all things 2 Dimensional, having always been a keen drawer, and is currently studying a variety of screen printing techniques at the University of Newcastle in New South Wales.
Her series entitled My Secret Identity are collage works pieced together with pages from Comic Books of the 1960s - comic books that were falling apart and destined for the rubbish bin have found a new life as the clothing of Lisa's anonymous, everyday superheroes.
The screen=printed works feature an homage to artists everywhere in the set of four Materials prints, while the nature-inspired Sprawl print showcases the noisy birds of Lisa's neighborhood.
All works have been signed and dated by Lisa, and all are limited editions.
