The talented artist behind Yellow Monday - Art & Illustration is Sydney-sider Linda Kruger. Linda works from her apartment in Australia's most famous city where she produces original artwork, prints and textiles.

Her work is influenced by a background in printmaking (intaglio), as well as textile printing and design (screen printing). Recently her images have incorporated digital elements, but she has always retained a strong emphasis on textures being hand drawn and painted.

Linda's images are also influenced by her background as a freelance video producer at Sydney's Powerhouse Museum. She loves the way in which a small image can be snatched from a flow of other still images.

PS - Yellow Monday is the name of a particular cicada found only in Australia.
