A graduate of the College of Fine Arts in Sydney, Bic completed her Masters in Design, focusing on lacquer and its applications to jewellery and design objects.

Bic often re-interprets history within a contemporary setting when creating her work and she has attracted considerable national and international interest since winning the 2003 Object Award for Best Studio Based Practice.
