A lot of people like Wendy Mclean's toys, but they can't quite put their finger on it. We have tried very hard to figure it out for ourselves, and have drawn the conclusion that not only do they remind us of people we know; it's also very refreshing to see a toy without a dopey look on its face. They are so serious and bewildered looking, they make us smile.

Springing to life from her illustrations and wicked imagination, each toy is carefully hand made by Wendy in her studio in Victoria. Wendy has studied sculpture at the University of Tasmania, and now her passion and focus is on toys.

Despite their stern expressions, they are so soft and squishy it's impossible not to fall under their spell. Wendy is aiming to create more toys in the future, and we can't wait to see who they remind us of next.
