With the music blaring - courtesy of Tiga, Cassius and the Chemical Brothers - Rhys gets down to his screen-printing. His images transform Perth from little ol’ Dullsville into a mega-metropolis, resplendent with towering buildings, endless freeways and of course, flashes of neon. Sitting on paper, vinyl and gyprock, Rhys’ works display a very constructed and architectural aesthetic. A recent graduate in Fine Art studies at Curtin University, Rhys looks forward to travelling around the real metropolis’ of Europe and his favourite Australian city, Melbourne.
