Mainichi Design by Dearne Mainichi is a playful and creative label that explores the idea of not using any precious materials in their pieces to invert the idea of precious jewellery.

From her studio in Melbourne, Dearne crafts wearable art pieces out of ordinary and everyday materials such as plastic, leather offcuts, recycled timbers and hemp and linen threads.

The resulting works are all eye-catching and distinctive creations that are handmade with great care and skill. It's impossible not to look at them and see great value in what were once generic materials. This is recycling for the style-conscious!
