The cute and retro canvas works from Perth artist Christine Lovitt are inspired by a desire to keep the distinctive children's illustrations of yesteryear in people's mindsets today.

Christine had practised Law both in her native Ireland and Western Australia for thirty years, before deciding to find more of a balance between a professional career and her other interests. Having also studied Art History at university, Christine began to create her works from the many old and rescued books in her and her husband's collection.

Each piece is printed onto a small canvas block, with some featuring hand-coloured highlights to match the vintage buttons and ribbon that are added.
