Handmade doesn't come much cuter than the gorgeous felt brooches now available on moose from Melbourne based Gemma Pobjoy's label Candy Bandit. Gemma has been creating since a very early age, and we think the following story perfectly demonstrates her creative mind and crafty talents:
'I made an entire McDonald's store for my younger sister's Barbie dolls, with cardboard and plasticine, including tiny Barbie-sized hand-rolled plasticine French Fries.'
From plasticine French Fries fit for a Barbie doll to Baby Zombies and Robot Monsters - we can see the natural progression!
Gemma has a Bachelor of Visual Arts from Monash University and has also been studying Metal-Smithing and 3-D Jewellery Design at Box Hill TAFE. She started making her fuzzy little critters about two years ago and we are delighted (and not in the least bit frightened) to have them on moose!
